Cicely Crosses the Rainbow Bridge

Postby TheBunnyBasics on Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:16 am

We are very sad to say Cicely has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Cicely was a sweet little girl who was adopted by one of the wonderful Brambley Hedge volunteers. She had a little less than 1-1/2 years in her forever home, after having spent 5 years in the shelter. During that time, she went through a terrible head tilt but was nursed back to health. When she arrived in her new home in April 2007, she didn't know at first what freedom was. It took about a week and she had that down. She loved bananas, and would literally climb up to get some every morning. Her mom noticed a lump under her chin, thinking she had an abscess. Dr Holmes removed it and gave the sad news that it was a fast-growing cancer and he could not get it all. Cicely lived for a few months more and gently passed over the Bridge this weekend.

We know Cicely is now watching over her family with all our loved buns who have crossed over. Our deepest sympathies are extented to Chris and Curtis who took such loving care of Cicely.
